COLLEGE STATION, TX: Texas A&M University’s OPAS gets the 51st “Astonishing” season off to a big start in Rudder Auditorium with The Barricade Boys. Direct from the West End, Scott Garnham, Simon Schofield, Craig Mather and George Tebbut will perform a concert filled with rock n roll, film and Broadway hits on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 7:30 PM in Rudder Auditorium. Tickets range from $30-$90 are on sale now at the MSC Box Office (979-845-1234) and online at www.OPAStickets.org. Special ticket prices are available for Texas A&M students. This concert by The Barricade Boys is part of the OPAS Singular Sensations series which also includes The Doo Wop Project (February 21) and Pink Martini (March 21). Season ticket packages for the three-concert series are still available at the MSC Box Office.

Entitled “West End Party,” The Barricade Boys will knock your socks off and get your hearts racing with this season-opening concert on October 3! These four dazzling performers have taken the world by storm with their electrifying show that will have you tapping your feet, belting out your favorite tunes and grinning from ear to ear. From the heart-wrenching emotion of Les Misérables to the toe-tapping harmonies of Jersey Boys, The Barricade Boys will take you on a musical journey like no other. Throw in a mix of the greatest pop, rock, swing, and Motown hits of all-time, and The Barricade Boys create the ultimate West End party musical mashup! 

The set list for the concert includes medleys from Mamma Mia, Jersey Boys and West Side Story; plus “I Dreamed a Dream,” “Bring Him Home” and “One Day More” from Les Miserables. Rock fans will enjoy “Bohemian Rhapsody, “Hey Jude” and “Yesterday.” And, just try to keep your seat for their Motown Medley! 

After this season opening performance, more programs follow this fall as part of the 2023-24 OPAS season with a cabaret concert by acclaimed jazz artist Stacey Kent (October 18), Mean Girls (November 1 and 2) sponsored by Aggieland Credit Union, Voctave (November 9) Jesus Christ Superstar (November 15 and 16) and Cirque Dreams Holidaze (December 5 & 6).
