COLLEGE STATION, TX: Due to overwhelming ticket demand, a second performance by the OPAS Season 53 opening artists, RIDERS IN THE SKY, has been added to organization’s “The Power of Story & Song Season.” The newly added concert will be performed on Wednesday, September 10 in Rudder Theatre at Texas A&M University. (The originally announced September 11 concert is sold out.)
Tickets to the September 10 concert are on sale now at the MSC Box Office (979-845-1234) and online at www.OPAStickets.org.
RIDERS IN THE SKY appear on the upcoming OPAS season as part of the 2025-26 Intimate Gatherings series. The series also includes, Churchill, Voctave Christmas and CelloVoci. A limited number of season ticket packages to this series are also available at the box office. The series is sponsored by Comfort Keepers, The Corrier Group and Sonic.
For more than 40 years, RIDERS IN THE SKY have been keepers of the flame passed on by the Sons of the Pioneers, Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, reviving and revitalizing Western music. And while remaining true to the integrity of the genre, they have themselves become modern-day icons by branding it with their own legendary wacky humor and way-out Western wit, and all along encouraging buckaroos and buckarettes to live life “The Cowboy Way!” RIDERS IN THE SKY are stars of the stage, screen, the Grand Ole Opry, National Public Radio, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, Saturday morning TV, and are the only exclusively Western artist to have won a Grammy Award. They truly are “America’s Favorite Cowboys!”
This concert celebrates the release of a new book, Riders In The Sky – Romancing the West with Music and Humor, by Bobbie & Bill Malone and published by the Texas A&M University Press.
